Coaxed myself out to do race with impending winter mix. Got it in. Good training

I'm still shy from a crash a few weeks back. I was making my way up group when panic breaking in front of me had my bail off the road. I came back to back of pack but a split formed shortly after. I just about bridged, but didn't, and ended up in a sketchy chase group. I eventually got frustrated there, and dropped and followed at my own pace about 10 bikes back. I pulled a train of dropped riders for about 30 minutes, then they hopped past me. Just before Marseilles another group caught me, and they weren't so bad. Mostly rolled in with them.

I'm pondering my complicated relationship with gravel racing.  But I was get off the road before some pretty big April snow.
