Recap of the first XC mountain bike race of the year!

Cold and foggy day in the forest as we toed the line for the first race of the season. I was racing CAT2 and did well, placing 1 in my age group (19-39) and third in the CAT2. The trail was fairly wet but not very muddy, just tacky dirt. I have 7 more races in this series and starting off with a win only helps the odds of getting an overall win in CAT2 age group and in CAT2 overall.
