Wow, super hard day. This race in Maryland, just over the PA and DE borders, started with a mile climb and was the most technical, rocky course I've raced on. This was a TT format with groups of 2 going off every 15 seconds. My son started about a minute ahead of me and I never caught him. In fact I wanted to quit after the first lap but with friends and fellow athletes and coaches from his NICA team cheering us on coming in for lap 1 I just had to continue. I unfortunately had a fall near the end of the race making room for a faster finisher, but I was ok. Henry did well and I was happy to have survived. Race data: time 2:14:00 distance 18.4 miles 1837 feet climbing 155 watts average power, 209 Normalized. (Stages left crank-Shimano XT) with Stages Dash!!
