Monster Cross was exciting, as always.
Monster Cross was exciting, as always. The season's first race is always a blast. It was great to race with USMES teammates, QMTB club members, some of the athletes I coach, and about 500 other eager beavers!
I was chasing down another Masters racer at mile 46 or 47 when he checked up at a stream crossing. I had to dodge left to avoid hitting him and went through a rockier crossing, cutting my sidewall. Two CO2 cartridges and 7 minutes later I was back in the game. I lost a ton of spots, finished with about 10 psi in the rear tire, but still PR'd the course and just about every segment.
All this excitement with my favorite people and my honey!
That's a win!
