I am a paracyclist, C3 category (upright bicycle) and current US Paracycling National Champion in Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium from this past July 2021. I hope to defend my titles next year! I was not quite fast enough to qualify for the Tokyo Paralympics. I have a spinal cord injury at C3. Incomplete quadriplegia, but able to walk. I use a Stages dual sided L&R crankarm set on one bike to check my leg differences for power output. I could definitely use at least one more dual sided crankset.
November 2021 has been full of challenges! I required another cervical spine surgery with fusion and new hardware due to severe spinal stenosis and new onset weakness in my arms. Recovering now with time on the indoor trainer until Feb. 2022 when it will be safe enough for me to be back on the road once my new fusion at C5-6-7 has solidified. In the meantime a fall last week has done something to my L arm, TBD - but not enough to keep me off the trainer.
