I am a 43 year old marketing teacher, father, husband, and high school swimming coach in Wethersfield, CT. I grew up as a swimmer and transitioned into triathlon after college. Thru the first decade of 2000s I was racing all the time and in 2004 and 2006 I completed Ironman Wisconsin. The first of my two kids was born in 2009 and triathlon took a back seat to spending time with my kids. Now that the kids are a little older, I have definitely gotten the itch to compete again. In the last 18 months I have lost 40 pounds and gotten back down to my race weight and am currently wearing the same jeans I wore in high school! I recently purchased a Stage Bike and have been using a Stages power meter on my road bike for about 4 years. My running over the past year has been stellar and I set a lifetime best in a half marathon just before the Covid lockdown happened. Once races start happening again I am ready to toe the line!
