First and foremost I am a husband and father of 2 fantastic kids. My love for cycling started at an early age. I grew up learning to ride with my father who was a race director and put on local TT’s and critical races. I began racing as a junior and competed in Junior Nationals. I continued to race through my freshman year in college. At that point, life became hectic and my racing days became few and far between. However, my love for the sport never wavered. I picked up racing again about 6 years ago when a friend invited my to try cyclocross racing. I have been hooked since. For me, it’s not about winning, it’s about teaching my kids to push themselves and believe in themselves. It’s about not giving up and training hard. I hope they learn to love cycling as much as I do, but even if they don’t cycling will have taught them valuable lessens they will use the rest of their lives.
