I'm a (50 something) year old age grouper who competes in 4 or 5 duathlons per year (because I haven't learned how to swim - yet). I started cycling as recovery from varicose vein surgery and it grew into a passion that transformed me from spectator to volunteer to competitor. I completed my first half-Iron distance at the Musselman race in Geneva NY in 2019.
Current equipment includes a Stages SC3 indoor bike for pain cave training, a 2005 Trek 1500 road bike with updates drivetrain, and my new Argon18 E-177 Tri Disc race machine for 2023 season!
Nutrition / hydration includes Boom gels and Skratch hydration products.
