I used to make fun of friends who rode for 20 yrs for being old. Now I'm one of them! Actually 30+ now... Been through it all - road racer, gravel rider, commuter, coach, mechanic, soigneur, brand ambassador, team sponsor, and event promoter.
Some highlights:
- 2014 6 Hour Time Trial World Champion
- Race mechanic for Mercatone Uno and Chevrolet LA Sheriff's in the '90's
- Raced at the '96 Olympic Trials, and plenty of US National Time Trial Championships trips over 20 years
- Raced at the 24 Hours of Idyllwild with a fractured rib, totally unplanned
- Promoted 80+ bike races and charity rides
- Rode 70 centuries in 3 years
- Current THESIS bike ambassador
Now, I focus mainly on gravel events and commuting, and love every minute of it!
