I am applying to rejoin Team Stages for a second year. I can't tell you how much I have appreciated my 2019 year! Team Stages has been the first team I have ever taken part of and I feel like I have embodied what the team stands for. I only started getting into triathlons in 2015. I didn't know how to swim, I didn't own a road bike, and running was nothing I took part in as a sport. So, I have appreciated being part of a team that is supportive and accountable because it has helped me grow even further. As a team member, I have made new, long-lasting, friendships, have performed in races with team members, have shared on numerous accounts my passion on social media, have never missed a race recap, have been a spotlight athlete on FB 4 times, and I just can't express how proud I am to be part of such an elite group of individuals.
This has been a strong year for me and I think it really took off with our group Zwift rides on Thursdays and Saturdays early in the year! Such a fun and enthusiastic group of people to keep one motivated when the Saturday morning ride starts at 0430 Pacific Time and builds into the last ride of 4hrs in length.
I have proven this year that I belong in triathlon. That I am a strong team member, team player, and team mate. Not only do I want to continue to grow as an athlete and boast about my Team Stages family, but I am bringing my husband, Adam Knapp, into my team application for 2020. He too will be applying. He is the best team mate I could ever ask for and I couldn't ask for anyone better to demonstrate what Team Stages is all about! You may have notice that I have mentioned him in several of my race recaps, because he is by my side and participates in some of the same races. We are different athletes, enjoying different aspects of triathlon. Already we are considered a power couple, the Ironman couple. So I hope you strongly consider my husband as well!
